Dear all,

It was a real pleasure to share with you all this term. I know for some of you this CFG was too demanding and stressful, sorry about that. But I enjoyed the classes very much despite the fact that some of you were far too talkative ....But that made the classes more relaxed and enjoyable for me.

Anyway, I´m marking your final test and will send you the grades the latest tomorrow I hope.

Dear all,

I know most of you are very busy, and writing on the blog is not top priority. But I really need you to finish your posts.

Besides, the last one about "your blogging experience" gives me, as a teacher and the whole English team, more food for thought to find ways to improve what we do.

Thank you guys the ones that have written so far. Your posts and comments have been very inspiring and interesting. I´m happy too that despite adding extra work to your already busy agenda, blogging has helped you somehow. I also appreciate the candid (honest) comments about how much time this activity has taken up.

Dear all,

Since last session many of you decided not to come because of the strike, tomorrow's session will be devoted to:

1. Do the listening quiz that we didn´t do last week

2. Discuss your presentations and provide some help so that you are well prepared.

Therefore, those of you who didn´t come last session, please think of a discipline related topic that you would like to present.

The 5 or 6 people who did come last session are expected to explain more in detail what they think they will present. So, be ready to answer questions.

Welcome to the CFG English Pre-intermediate course!!



As explained last session, one of the activities that you´ll have to do during this term is to write on your blog. To do so, what you need to do first is to create an English blog and send the link to me so that everybody in the class is connected.

First, write a short introductory/welcome post (70 words). Say who you are and what objectives you hope to achieve with your blog. Leave comments on at least 3 of your classmates’ blogs.
Personalize your blog (e.g. add a picture, survey, change colour fonts, etc).

First task:

Your first task is to write a text about your experiences connected with the earthquake or your experiences with the earthquake from the viewpoint of your future professional life. You can approach the post in anyway you want. Here there are just a few ideas for it: - Your experience that night- Your reactions- What you have done after (to help)- Lessons learned. As a future health worker, did you think of anything special that night?

Number of words: 120 - 160. Deadline April 14.
